NEW! Culinary Creations (Ages 8-10)
Dig deep into the world of vegetable gardening and culinary arts to discover how food goes from plant to plate. Campers will explore the Cheekwood GROWS kitchen garden during peak growing season. Throughout the week they will harvest produce, cook up garden-fresh meals, and create their own recipe book. Campers will make tasty flavorful meals such as stir-fry, garden pesto, and vegetable pizzas. At the end of the week, family members will be invited to a pop-up dining experience curated by the campers. They will develop a multicourse menu using seasonal produce available in the garden, design table settings and floral arrangements, and show off their new cooking skills.
*Campers will be cooking and eating in this camp and while we will work to accommodate food allergies to the best of our ability, we ask that you please take this into consideration when registering. Please make sure to list out all food allergies when registering your camper and email education@cheekwood.org with any food concerns.
This camp runs from 9 AM – 4 PM and includes a lunch break from 12 – 1 PM. Please note that lunch is not provided.
